The Otto Hotel: A Stylish and Space-Saving Boutique Experience

Creating a Seamless and Sophisticated Stay in Hong Kong

The Otto Hotel, designed by Clement Cheng, offers a stylish and hip boutique experience in the vibrant shopping district of Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong. With its tastefully furnished rooms and innovative space-saving design, The Otto Hotel aims to provide modern travelers with a comfortable, convenient, and affordable stay.

Located in the heart of Hong Kong, The Otto Hotel stands out with its unique approach to hospitality. The design of the hotel focuses on making the most of limited space, ensuring that every inch is utilized efficiently. One standout feature is the multi-function corner storage cabinet, which includes a custom-made clothing hanging rack and additional storage space for luggage. This clever design element allows guests to keep their belongings organized and easily accessible.

Another innovative feature of The Otto Hotel is the full-height clear shower partition glass. This design choice not only opens up the space, creating a sense of depth, but also creates a seamless flow between the bathroom and bedroom. The result is a visually stunning and cohesive aesthetic that enhances the overall guest experience.

The design team, led by Clement Cheng, utilized a combination of materials to bring The Otto Hotel to life. Timber panels, wallcoverings, marble, and tiles were carefully selected to create a modern and sophisticated atmosphere. These materials, along with thoughtful detailing such as irregular grooves in the walnut wall panels and subtle pattern embossing in the bed back feature art glass panel, add a touch of elegance and sophistication to the design.

Despite the challenges of working with limited space, The Otto Hotel successfully combines functionality with style. The lounge and lobby area, situated on the 3rd floor, features bespoke, stylish wall art panels with an attached decorated flat roof. This design choice allows natural daylight to pour into the check-in counters, creating a visual connection between the street and the interior. The character of The Otto Hotel, with its deep colors and materials, exudes a sense of permanence and authenticity, making it a desirable and fashionable destination for modern travelers in this bustling city.

The Otto Hotel has received wide-ranging positive feedback for its comprehensive provision of amenities within the limited spaces. Guests appreciate the attention to detail and the thoughtful use of space, which allows them to focus on enjoying all that Hong Kong has to offer.

From design to construction, The Otto Hotel took two years to complete and operate. Throughout the process, extensive research and review of the space were conducted to ensure that every corner was used efficiently and wisely to accommodate all the necessary amenities for a modern boutique hotel.

The Otto Hotel's innovative design and commitment to providing a unique and comfortable stay have been recognized with the prestigious A' Design Award. This award acknowledges the hotel's well-designed, practical, and innovative approach, which meets professional and industrial requirements. The Iron A' Design Award is a testament to The Otto Hotel's integration of industry best practices and competent technical characteristics, contributing to a better world.

Experience the stylish and space-saving design of The Otto Hotel, where comfort and convenience meet sophistication and innovation.
